360-Degree Video and Virtual Meetings by PlaceVR to Generate National and International Interest in Eastern Kentucky Opportunities

(Paintsville, Kentucky – April 29th, 2021) A new 360-degree video launched by One East Kentucky makes it possible for site selectors to take a look around Gateway Industrial Park with Virtual Reality (VR). When combined with the capability to meet in a virtual environment, the video will not just attract attention but provide a way for economic developers to engage with prospects wherever they are in the world.

“This technology gives us a way to reach out and bring people to us while restrictions and concerns keep people from traveling,” said Chuck Sexton, President and CEO of One East Kentucky. “This is exactly what we need to generate interest for the available land in Gateway Industrial Park for both national and international prospects.”

Produced by the PlaceVR division of Golden Shovel Agency, the 360-degree video and Virtual Meetings app use human physiology to have a lasting impact on the viewer. The use of VR goggles cancels out all distractions and as the viewer looks all around the scene, their brain responds as though they’re really in a new place.

“360-degree video and VR are described as immersive experiences,” said Aaron Brossoit, CEO of Golden Shovel Agency. “The brain response stimulates empathy and it’s empathy that makes the message memorable and opens up the viewer to a next step like scheduling a virtual meeting.”

One East Kentucky is collaborating with Golden Shovel Agency to create a series of six videos and 3D building renderings that will market available land in industrial park sites and existing buildings that are for sale.
