Sanitary Sewer
Coal Fields Industrial Park is served by a 10-inch sewer line throughout the park by Hazard Utilities District. The current rated capacity of the sewer plant is 3 million gallons per day with excess capacity of 1.8 million gallons per day.
Electric
AEP Kentucky Power provides electrical service to Coal Fields Industrial Park. An electric substation is located at the entrance of the park with 69kV Transmission Voltage and electric distribution service available throughout the park.
Natural Gas
Natural gas is abundant in East Kentucky with many industries owning private gas wells. Additionally, multiple local gas companies may provide direct service to facilities. Columbia Gas has current access one half mile from the park and is willing to extend service to industry within the park.
Telecom
East Kentucky is the beginning of the Kentucky Information Highway. A broadband initiative titled “Kentucky Wired” is adding to already existing fiber within the region, extending gigabyte service to government, business and homes faster than ever before. Coal Fields Industrial Park has existing service through local telecom companies, AT&T and broadband providers such as Windstream.
Transportation
The Park is accessed via KY State HWY 15 which connects to two 4-lane parkways; Hal Rogers Parkway and the Mountain Parkway. Hal Rogers Parkway connects to Interstate 75 and Mountain Parkway connects to both Interstate 64 and Interstate 75.
Coal Fields Industrial Park is less than two miles from Wendell H. Ford Regional Airport which is available for private aircraft as well as freight. The park is within 2 hours of commercial air service availability from both Lexington, Kentucky’s Bluegrass Airport and Tri-Cities Airport located near Kingsport, Tennessee.
