Mike Johnson

Michael L. Johnson, CEO at East Ky Network, LLC / dba Appalachian Wireless, began his career in a dual role in the wireline and wireless industry.  Since beginning his career in July 1992, as a Central Office Technician at Harold Telephone and Installer at Appalachian Cellular, Mike has worked at virtually every aspect of the technical side of the wireless business.  

Mike is a visionary in the telecommunications industry with broad experience in technology management, engineering, project management, and safety administration. Mike has used his creativity and passion for innovation to build one of the most rock-solid technical teams in the industry. Mike oversees ongoing operations of all divisions, along with managing and directing the company toward primary goals and objectives. He works with an executive team to establish short- and long-term goals, plans, and policies. Mike reviews the financial results of operations to correct unsatisfactory performance and results. Mike works diligently to ensure the company consistently delivers the highest quality customer experience practices, promotes safety standards, and ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

A proud native of Pike County, Mike and his wife Jessica reside in Floyd County in Ivel, Kentucky. Mike enjoys fishing and spending time with his family, children, and grandchildren in his free time.
