Pikeville Tourism, BitSource launch free app

City of Pikeville Tourism and Pikeville-based coding company BitSource have launched a free app, “Visit Pikeville,” which is available for download on mobile devices.
The app provides updates and information on events happening within the city, as well as information regarding lodging, dining, shopping and other entertainment options in the city.
“The app is going to be used with tourism, (the) Main Street Program, the (East Kentucky) Expo Center and Jenny Wiley Theatre. So if any one of those four have an event, you will be able to find that on the app,” said Pikeville Director of Tourism Jimmy Taylor.
